Kysané Zelí s Klobásou

Ingredients
- 2 cups sauerkraut
- 1 pound sausage
- 1 medium onion
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 leaf bay leaf
- 1 cup water

Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add 1 medium chopped onion and sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent.

Add 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Slice 1 pound of sausage into bite-sized pieces and add to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.

Stir in 2 cups of sauerkraut, 1 teaspoon of caraway seeds, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 bay leaf.

Pour in 1 cup of water, stir well, and bring to a simmer.

Cover the skillet and let it simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove the bay leaf before serving. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
