Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- 2
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, and salt to create a dry rub.
- 3
Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs for better flavor absorption. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
- 4
Rub the mustard evenly over both sides of the ribs. This will help the dry rub adhere.
- 5
Sprinkle the dry rub generously over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated on both sides.
- 6
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down.
- 7
Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of aluminum foil to trap moisture.
- 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender and the meat pulls away from the bone.
- 9
While the ribs are baking, mix the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and water in a saucepan. Simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes.
- 10
Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 11
Carefully remove the foil and brush a generous amount of the barbecue sauce mixture on both sides of the ribs.
- 12
Grill the ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with more barbecue sauce, until they are caramelized and have grill marks.
- 13
Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- 14
Serve the ribs with additional barbecue sauce on the side and enjoy!
