Hovězí steak s houbovou omáčkou
Grilled beef steak topped with a rich mushroom sauce, perfect for an indulgent lunch.
Ingredients
- 2 pieces beef steak
- 8 ounces mushrooms
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 1 medium onion
- 1 cup beef broth

Take the beef steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

While the steaks are resting, clean and slice the mushrooms and finely chop the onion and garlic.

In a medium skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for another 5-7 minutes until they are browned and tender.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let it reduce for about 5 minutes.

Add the heavy cream and 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

While the sauce is thickening, heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.

Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the grill. Once melted, place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until cooked to your desired doneness.

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

To serve, place the sliced steak on a plate and generously spoon the mushroom sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
