
Gambas a la Plancha
Fresh prawns grilled to perfection, seasoned simply with sea salt and served with lemon. A delicious Spanish dish perfect for lunch.
Ingredients
- 1 pound prawns
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 whole lemon
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 slices crusty bread

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

While the grill is heating, prepare the prawns. If they are not already cleaned, remove the shells and devein them.

In a bowl, combine the cleaned prawns with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and minced garlic. Toss well to coat the prawns evenly.

Once the grill is hot, place the prawns on the grill in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque.

While the prawns are cooking, cut the lemon in half. Squeeze one half over the prawns as they cook for added flavor.

Remove the prawns from the grill and transfer them to a serving plate. Chop the parsley and sprinkle it over the prawns.

Serve immediately with the remaining lemon half and slices of crusty bread on the side for dipping.
