
Curried Crab and Dumplings
Delicious crab meat cooked in a fragrant curry sauce, served with fluffy dumplings for a filling meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb crab meat
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup water
- 4 stalks scallions
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 whole lime
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro

In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat.

Add 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 tablespoon of minced ginger to the pot. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir in 2 tablespoons of curry powder and cook for another minute.

Add 1 cup of coconut milk and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Fold in 1 lb of crab meat, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour with a pinch of salt. Gradually add 1 cup of water, mixing until a soft dough forms.

On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 2 minutes until smooth. Divide into 8 equal pieces and shape each into a ball.

Gently drop the dumpling balls into the simmering curry sauce. Cover the pot and let them steam for 10 minutes.

Once the dumplings are cooked, remove the pot from heat. Squeeze the juice of 1 lime over the dish and stir gently.

Serve the curried crab and dumplings hot, garnished with chopped scallions and fresh cilantro.
