Crispy Vegan Churros with Chocolate Sauce
Delight in these crispy vegan churros, served with a rich and creamy chocolate dipping sauce for a sweet treat.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup plant-based milk
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 4 ounces dark chocolate
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups coconut oil
- 1 cup powdered sugar

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

In a separate bowl, mix the plant-based milk, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a smooth dough forms. Do not overmix.

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star-shaped nozzle.

In a large, deep skillet, heat the coconut oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Pipe 4-6 inch long strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them with scissors. Fry in batches for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Using a slotted spoon, remove the churros from the oil and drain on paper towels.
