Instructions
- 1
Start by preparing the shrimp. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them under cold running water for about 5-10 minutes. Pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves. Chop the parsley and set aside.
- 3
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until the butter is melted.
- 4
Add the chopped garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant but not browned.
- 5
Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 3-4 minutes, turning the shrimp until they are pink and opaque.
- 6
Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce slightly reduces.
- 7
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the chopped parsley until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined.
- 8
Serve the garlic sautéed shrimp hot, with extra lemon wedges on the side for squeezing, and enjoy with crusty bread for dipping.
