Instructions
- 1
Soak the cedar planks in water for at least 1 hour. This helps prevent them from burning on the grill.
- 2
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).
- 3
In a small bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons of olive oil, the juice of 1 lemon, 2 tablespoons of chopped dill, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 1 tablespoon of honey to create a marinade.
- 4
Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- 5
Once the cedar planks have soaked, remove them from the water and pat dry. Place the planks on the grill for about 5 minutes to heat them up.
- 6
Carefully place the marinated salmon fillets on the heated cedar planks, skin-side down.
- 7
Close the grill lid and cook for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
- 8
Remove the cedar planks from the grill and let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
- 9
Serve the grilled salmon garnished with additional dill and lemon wedges on the side.
