
Bramboráky
Crispy potato pancakes seasoned with garlic and marjoram, served with sour cream.
Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes
- 1 cup flour
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chives

Peel and grate the potatoes using a box grater or food processor.

Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, flour, minced garlic, marjoram, egg, salt, and black pepper.

Mix the ingredients until well combined and a thick batter forms.

Heat 1/4 cup of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the potato mixture into the skillet, flattening them slightly with the back of the spoon.

Cook the pancakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Transfer the cooked pancakes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more oil to the skillet as needed.

Serve the bramboráky hot, garnished with chopped chives and accompanied by sour cream.
