
Beef Tacos with Traditional Fixings
Soft corn tortillas filled with seasoned ground beef, lettuce, cheese, and salsa for a classic taco night.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 tortillas corn tortillas
- 2 cups lettuce
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Chop the medium onion finely and add it to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.

Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked.

Stir in 1 tablespoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to combine the flavors.

While the beef is cooking, prepare the toppings: shred 2 cups of lettuce and grate 1 cup of cheddar cheese.

Warm the 8 corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

To assemble the tacos, place a generous amount of the beef mixture onto each tortilla.
