
BBQ Beef Meatballs with Sweet and Spicy Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 cup bbq sauce
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Finely chop the medium onion and garlic cloves.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, 1 cup of breadcrumbs, 1 egg, chopped onion, chopped garlic, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.

Mix all the ingredients until well combined; do not overmix.

Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F or 71°C).

While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sweet and spicy sauce. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of BBQ sauce, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes.

Heat the sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it begins to simmer. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large mixing bowl.
