
BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwiches
Tender sliced brisket piled high on a bun, topped with tangy coleslaw for a delicious lunch option.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds beef brisket
- 2 cups bbq sauce
- 6 buns sandwich buns
- 4 cups coleslaw mix
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.

Rub the spice mixture all over the beef brisket, ensuring it's evenly coated.

In a large oven-safe pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Once seared, remove the brisket from the pot and set aside. Pour in 1 cup of BBQ sauce and stir to deglaze the pot, scraping up any browned bits.

Return the brisket to the pot, cover with a lid, and transfer to the preheated oven. Cook for 3-4 hours or until the brisket is tender.

While the brisket is cooking, prepare the coleslaw. In a large bowl, combine coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.

After the brisket has cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.

Slice the brisket against the grain and toss the slices with the remaining BBQ sauce.
