Instructions
- 1
Begin by preparing the sausages. If using raw Bavarian sausages, grill or boil them until fully cooked (about 10-15 minutes). If using pre-cooked sausages, simply slice them into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
While the sausages are cooking, thinly slice the onion and set aside in a bowl of cold water for 10 minutes to reduce the sharpness.
- 3
Dice the pickles into small pieces and set aside.
- 4
In a small bowl, whisk together the white vinegar, olive oil, mustard, salt, and black pepper to create the dressing.
- 5
Once the sausages are cooked, allow them to cool slightly, then combine them in a large mixing bowl with the sliced onions, diced pickles, and radishes (sliced thinly).
- 6
Pour the dressing over the sausage mixture and toss gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
- 7
Chop the fresh parsley and sprinkle over the salad for garnish. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
- 8
Cover the salad and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- 9
Serve chilled or at room temperature, and enjoy your Bayerischer Wurstsalat as a hearty breakfast.
