Baked Beans on Toast
A simple yet classic dish of baked beans served on buttered toast, a British staple.
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) baked beans
- 4 slices bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Open the can of baked beans and pour them into a saucepan. Heat over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until warmed through.

While the beans are heating, prepare the toast. Place the slices of bread on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

In a small bowl, mix the butter with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Once the toast is done, spread the butter mixture evenly over each slice.

If using cheddar cheese, sprinkle it over the baked beans and stir gently to combine. Allow it to melt for about 2 minutes.
